The game is set on the newly introduced planet Kairos, where players take on the role of Vault Hunters to overthrow the Timekeeper, a tyrannical dictator, while searching for secret alien treasures

There are four new Vault Hunters — each with unique skill trees and action abilities — plus some returning characters. Players customize builds, explore vast zones without loading screens, wield billions of weapons, and use enhanced traversal mechanics (like double jumps, grappling, etc.). Both solo play and online co-op are supported.
